Together with Espoma Organic, we’re providing up to 20 need-based scholarships to the Houseplant Masterclass. This scholarship is open to all plant-interested applicants who may face financial hardships in paying for the course.

In high school, I had a dream of going to Cornell University to study environmental sciences. Knowing full well it was beyond what I could afford, I began researching what scholarships were available online. Before graduating, I applied to 26 scholarships. I took each application seriously and tried my best to communicate what getting the scholarship would mean to me and my education. I was fortunate enough to secure six of those scholarships, which not only helped with the costs of college, but also helped me articulate my interest in my studies and build confidence along the way.

Offering these need-based scholarships to the Houseplant Masterclass is in a small way—passing on that gesture and giving some folks an opportunity that they may have not otherwise had.

The application is open to people internationally, so anyone in need can apply, (but please note the Masterclass is only available in the English language). The deadline for the application is May 10, 2021 at midnight EST. And only complete applications will be considered, so be sure to make the most of your application and read it over two or three times before submitting!
